Maria is a dedicated yoga teacher and accomplished raw food chef who began to truly dive into life more than a decade ago when she left a successful corporate position to pursue a more connected path of self discovery and helping others.
Maria completed her culinary training at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. She shares her love of yoga and love of raw/plant based creations, bringing food to life through her artistic and instinctive skills… often weaving this connection of food and practice within her classes.
Yoga came into her life as a result of a sudden return home from Barcelona, Spain, where she was managing a vacation rental company, to assist her family with her father’s terminal illness. Feeling lost, broken and out of touch with her spirit, stepping into a yoga class quite literally saved her. Each and every practice provided the nurturing and care that eventually led Maria to pursue a deeper commitment to the practice.
In 2013, Maria completed her Moksha teacher training in Los Angeles, California and spent time teaching abroad at ONEhotSPOT hot yoga in Lund, Sweden. She quickly fell in love with the responsibility and gifts that come with teaching a yoga class. Maria is always pursuing new guidance, teachings and inspiration, most recently having completed the 100 hour technical teacher training led by YuMee Chung, one of her many inspiring teachers.
