On September 21st – International Day of Peace we will be hosting a Live Music Candlelit Flow class led by Stephanie Mills and accompanied by Ross Edmunds. It s a Karma class (by donation) with all funds supporting Amnesty International.
In 2004, the first 7 Moksha studios celebrated International Human Rights Day with a candlelit class as a way to collectively practice peace, and from that inspiring event, our community’s Speak Your Peace campaign was born! Since then, the campaign has grown and changed, but the intention has remained the same – to amplify the voices that speak for peace in the world. We do this by lending our community strength to organizations that align with our Pillars – organizations that fight tirelessly to protect and promote human rights locally and across the globe. This year, through the donation of our September and October Karma Class funds, a Candlelit Karma Class held on International Day of Peace (September 21st), and other optional community-inspired events, we offer our collective support to either Amnesty International or RAVEN Trust (Respecting Aboriginal Values and Environmental Needs).
